Primary school - Nyirangarama Campus
YOU ARE WELCOME!
Our nursery and primary education is designed to focus on developing the fundamental skills and knowledge needed for a successful transition into more advanced areas of learning. We promote a safe and supportive learning environment, with an emphasis on collaboration, self-discovery, and enhancing communication skills.
Our curriculum emphasizes not only the fundamental skills required for academic success, but also the development of social and emotional skills. In addition to traditional academic subjects like English, Mathematics, and Sciences, we offer Arts and Music classes. We introduce our students to a variety of life skills that are necessary for the development of an independent and responsible learner, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-expression.
TEACHING LEVELS
Baby class
A Baby class is the lowest level of our nursery school, typically for infants and toddlers. It focuses on learning through play, developing language skills, and learning basic self-help skills. Courses taught in French include Comportment, Coloriage, Dessin, Contes, and Decoupage.
Middle class
The Middle class at our nursery school is the next level, typically for children aged three and four. This level includes more structured learning, such as the alphabet and shapes, as well as rhythmic games, music, and dance.
Top class
Our highest level of nursery school is the Top class, which is typically for children aged four and five. It emphasizes the development of academic skills beyond kindergarten, such as Decouverte du milieu, Pre-mathematiques, Pre-lecture, and Pre-ecriture.
Primary 1 & 2
Primary 1 and 2 are foundational levels of academic learning that focus on fundamental skills in all subject areas. Students in primary 1 and 2 are taught basic literacy and numeracy skills, as well as basic writing skills and an understanding of the world around them.
Primary 3 & 4
Primary 3 and 4 are intermediate levels of learning, with a greater emphasis on in-depth topic analysis. As they work on elementary technology, creative arts, and extracurricular activities, students in primary 3 and 4 begin to develop more complex problem-solving and analytical skills.
Primary 5 & 6
Primary 5 and 6 are the advanced levels of learning, and the emphasis shifts to a more in-depth examination of topics. Students in primary 5 and 6 broaden their understanding of the world by learning more abstract language and mathematical concepts, as well as mastering complex reasoning skills.
CFSG AT GLANCE

We cannot discuss accomplishments without discussing planning because accomplishments are the result of planning. We evaluate what we have planned after monitoring and checking that after various assessments as well as summative evaluation, we can determine the level of achievement of each learner by grading them based on their exam results. The teacher and school administration can then decide what to do to improve the school.
In fact, we are always in a good position to meet our goals. For example, in the academic year 2021-2022, all of our students passed the National Primary Examination.
