Experiential learning

AT THE HEART OF CFSG!

Experiential learning is at the heart of our school's values. Our students learn through experiences and activities that involve real-world applications and exploration. Our educational approach encourages students to seek knowledge and comprehend the world around them through real-world experiences. This type of learning promotes active engagement and self-reflection, as well as problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Internships, career shadowing, field trips, community service, and simulations are examples of such hands-on experiences. These activities allow students to gain knowledge and skills that will be useful in the workplace.

LET'S NAME A FEW...

Agriculture

Agriculture workshops are organized and funded by SINA GERARD and Ese URWIBUTSO. They provide a learning environment for students who want to learn about the many facets of agriculture. They cover topics such as agricultural systems, animal production, plant production, sustainable agriculture, food production and processing, agronomy, environmental systems, and agricultural economics. Furthermore, these workshops include hands-on activities like visits to farms, agricultural production facilities, and even research laboratories, which help students understand agriculture and provide them with additional knowledge and skills in the field.

Food Processing

Our biologists use this laboratory to study and explore the world and organisms around them. It is outfitted with a variety of experimental equipment, including microscopes, incubators, test tubes, petri dishes, slides, bar magnets, and chemicals. The lab also has centrifuges, dissecting equipment, and lab computers. It provides a safe and controlled environment for students to conduct experiments, increasing their knowledge and experience with scientific concepts.
