HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

Workshops at our Technical Secondary School and Vocational Training Center are great ways to enhance a student's educational experience. They provide hands-on opportunities for our students to learn about topics that are not typically covered in regular classes and to gain skills that can be applied in their own lives. They also provide opportunities for students to develop important social, emotional, and problem-solving skills that will serve them well in college and workplace.

OUR STUDENTS ON THE FIELD

Agriculture

Agriculture workshops are organized and funded by SINA GERARD and Ese URWIBUTSO. They provide a learning environment for students who want to learn about the many facets of agriculture. They cover topics such as agricultural systems, animal production, plant production, sustainable agriculture, food production and processing, agronomy, environmental systems, and agricultural economics. Furthermore, these workshops include hands-on activities like visits to farms, agricultural production facilities, and even research laboratories, which help students understand agriculture and provide them with additional knowledge and skills in the field.

Building Construction

Our students participate in hands-on activities during building construction workshops. They participate in different tasks, including floor construction and installation, mural painting, framing, roofing, and other aspects of construction. Students work in groups, sometimes competing against one another for a final product. Other topics may include building codes, safety, and energy efficiency. These workshops also provide information on the design and architectural elements used in modern buildings.

Fashion Designing

This is a space dedicated to experiments and other hands-on activities designed to help our students understand physics principles. A variety of measuring instruments, circuit boards, and other physics-related items such as lenses, magnets, motors, and various pieces of scientific equipment are found in our physics lab. The lab also provides a secure environment for our students to explore natural laws, make observations, and develop theories and hypotheses.

Animal Health

This room is dedicated to teaching and conducting chemistry-related science experiments. It has several lab benches, lab stations, and safety equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. The lab also has sinks, ventilation hoods, and other appliances. The laboratory is equipped with a variety of chemicals and apparatus, such as test tubes and flasks, petri dishes, beakers and graduated cylinders, thermometers, and other laboratory tools.

Food Processing

Our biologists use this laboratory to study and explore the world and organisms around them. It is outfitted with a variety of experimental equipment, including microscopes, incubators, test tubes, petri dishes, slides, bar magnets, and chemicals. The lab also has centrifuges, dissecting equipment, and lab computers. It provides a safe and controlled environment for students to conduct experiments, increasing their knowledge and experience with scientific concepts.

Automobile Transmission and Control Systems Technology

Computer labs are essential in assisting our students to learn, work with software programs, complete assignments, and interact with their instructors. Most importantly, these ICT labs allow our students to acquire digital skills that are essential in today's workplace without having to buy their own hardware and software. They provide a wide range of computer skills that allow them to conduct internet research and learn more from various world wide websites.
